What left the second Apple Event 2021
On October 18, Apple's second event in less than a month was held at Apple Park. The company is oriented towards the creation of innovative products and experiences, such products are designed to offer users new and interesting ways to express creativity and that they can enjoy the creativity of others.
The event focused on two important areas:

These new playlists, available to any subscriber, make using Apple Music in conjunction with Siri easier and better. Obviously, the company wants to bring this experience to more people than ever before, so Apple introduced a new subscription plan for Apple Music: the Voice plan.
With this new plan, use only your voice and the power of Siri, to access all the songs, all the playlists and all the stations in the Apple Music catalog, on all your Apple devices for only a cost of $4.55 per month.
This plan will be available in 17 countries and regions later this fall.

Mac and what was said at the Apple Event

The response has been tremendous. The M1 has fueled the growth of the Mac over the past year, outpacing the rest of the industry and resulting in the best Mac year ever.
In the past Apple Event 2021 it was announced that the company will bring the Apple chip to more systems.
Professional users depend on the Mac and the one they most prefer is the MacBook Pro. They choose it to develop incredible apps that enrich people's lives, to create music that moves us and to make movies and television shows that entertain us, and they educate us.
The MacBook Pro appeals to people who want the most powerful Mac laptop, so they can change the world. At the Apple event it was everyone's expected moment as the MacBook Pro was completely reimagined, starting with the first chip designed for the Mac.
The M1 Pro
The M1 Pro is the next chip in the M1 family, and it is revolutionary. The transition to the Apple chip is all about bringing its incredible performance, custom technology, and relentless focus on the Mac's energy efficiency.
That is exactly what the M1 has done. Not only has it transformed our most popular systems, it has left the PC world in awe. The M1 has been amazing to many Apple users, but there are still professional users who require a lot more and something great was built just for them.
That's what the M1 Pro is all about, it's the next chip for the Mac. Building a professional laptop has meant using a power-hungry CPU and a separate GPU.
But a two-chip architecture requires much more power and cooling. It also means that the CPU and GPU have different memory resources and have to copy data from one to the other via a slower interface.
No one has ever applied a system-on-chip design to a professional system until now. Apple did this by expanding the innovative architecture of the M1 to create a much more powerful chip with the M1 Pro.
They started by redesigning the chip board to enable the SoC to scale, while doubling the width of the memory interface and using a DRAM.
This allows the M1 to provide memory with up to 200 GB / s of bandwidth, almost triple that of the M1. Your custom package supports up to 32 GB of unified memory.
The M1 Pro chip pads were built using the innovative 5 nm process technology and have 33.7 billion transistors. It is more than double that of the M1.
All those transistors provide higher performance, starting with a 10-core CPU, with 8 high-performance cores and 2 high-efficiency cores, they provide up to 70% faster CPU performance than the M1.
For graphics, the M1 Pro has a 16-core GPU, 8 more than the M1. These additional cores, along with increased memory bandwidth, give the M1 Pro twice as fast graphics performance as the M1.
The M1 Pro has the industry-leading multimedia engine that speeds up video processing while using very little power. And now it goes further with ProRes.
It is one of the highest quality codecs in professional video production. Adding ProRes acceleration allows the M1 Pro to play multiple 4K and 8K ProRes video streams using only a fraction of the power. It's another key advantage of Apple building its own chip.
Finally, the M1 includes other advanced technologies to form a complete professional system, such as a powerful engine to power multiple displays and additional Thunderbolts controllers to deliver more I / O bandwidth.
So that's what the M1 Pro is all about. Built on the architecture of the M1, the new Pro version takes the incredible performance of Apple's chip to a whole new level.
The M1 Pro is unique in professional computers. But Apple wanted to boost the chip's performance much more. So, at the Aple event, two new chips were introduced for the Mac.
The M1 Max
This amazing chip is based on the M1 Pro and takes its incredible capabilities to new levels. The M1 Max starts with a much higher bandwidth chip board and doubles the memory interface again.
This provides memory with up to 400 GB / s of bandwidth. That's twice the M1 Pro and six times more than the M1. This wider memory interface allows the M1's custom package to support up to 64 GB of unified memory.
Their pickups have an incredible 57 billion transistors. That's 1.7 times more than the M1 Pro and 3.5 times more than the M1. It is the largest chip that Apple has built by far.
The M1 Max has the same powerful and complex 10-core CPU as the M1 Pro and doubles the GPU to an incredible 32 cores, giving the M1 Max up to 4x faster GPU performance than the M1.
It has a much more capable multimedia engine with up to two times faster video encoding and two ProRes accelerators. The M1 Max provides all of this with groundbreaking performance per watt.
For the Apple chip, energy efficiency defines performance with its voice. With virtual access to any song you want to listen to, as well as an energetic urva playlist, it continues to decimate the 4-core chip of a laptop PC.
The M1 is amazing, and when the M1 Pro and M1 Max you can see that they provide a lot more performance. Putting it in perspective, the M1 Pro and M1 Max perform higher at each power level.
At its peak, it provides 1.7 times the performance of a PC chip at the same power level, and at peak performance of a PC chip it provides the same performance using 70% less power, that's very important.
In GPU performance against the M1's power curve, the M1 easily beats it while using much less power. When we add the M1 Pro, it is on a very different level. At its peak, it is more than seven times faster.
Many Laptops add a separate GPU for better graphics performance. The M1 provides more performance using 70% power. But that's not all, there are professional laptops that have independent GPUs with high performance.
They are high performance, but consume a lot of power, and in a laptop when you consume that much power, it results in more heat, noisy fans, and shorter battery life.
In the case of the M1 Max, it provides comparable performance, but uses 40% less power. There is no doubt that it is the most powerful chip in the world.
macOS
By designing macOS for the chip, the experience of using a Mac was taken to a new level. Everything is incredibly fast and responsive, the apps launch instantly and with automatic sleep activation.
System-wide enhancements have been made to the new professional chips to provide the best performance in the most demanding apps. For example, use job data from professional apps to optimize how macOS assigns multi-threaded tasks to CPU cores.
Advanced power management functions intelligently divide tasks between the performance and efficiency cores, giving them incredible performance and battery life.
So they can collect more code or edit more video in a single upload. And macOS is designed to maximize the unified memory architecture on these new chips, so professional apps can manipulate huge images or video streams and move them between the CPU and GPU with zero copies for mind-blowing performance.
Technologies like Metal allow apps to automatically adapt to newer chips for better performance.
Thanks to Core ML optimizations, machine learning models run, on average, more than three times faster compared to the faster Core i9 MacBook Pro with some ML models more than 20 times faster.
When it comes to security, the M1, M1 Pro and M1 Max take a big step forward, with industry-leading protections like Hardware-verified secure boot, anti-runtime exploit technologies, and fast online cryptography for everyone.
In relation to apps, users receive much more thanks to this chip, and they perform much better than ever. Every app made by Apple has been optimized and works natively on an Apple chip.
We also have Rosetta 2, so Intel-based apps, even professional apps with plug-ins, work without missing a beat. And even running under Rosetta, apps that invoke macOS technologies, like Metal, get a huge speed boost from our optimizations for the Apple chip.
They can run iPhone and iPad apps on the Mac, opening up a huge universe of possibilities. To unleash the full power of these chips, apps can be collected to run natively as universal apps.
New features and even faster performance were released at the Apple event on the M1 Pro and M1 Max.
The MacBook Pro

The new MacBook Pro is a combination of groundbreaking performance with incredible battery life, outstanding screen quality, and advanced connectivity. It is a professional laptop that is unmatched.
It was designed with an intense focus on performance and utility. The new aluminum housing optimizes internal space for better performance and functionality.
It's built around an advanced thermal system that can move 50% more air, even at slower fan speeds. This thermal design allows you to provide phenomenal sustained performance, while you wait quietly.
Thanks to the efficiency of the Apple chip, the fans don't have to be turned on for most everyday tasks.
It's all in a design that's just 16.8 mm thin and 4.7 lbs on the 16-inch model, and just 15.5 mm thin, and 3.5 lbs on the 14-inch model. This new design is just the beginning of the MacBook Pro story.
When it comes to the keyboard, users appreciate the top row function keys of the standalone Magic Keyboard and added it to the MacBook Pro. The physical keys replace the Touch bar, bringing back the familiar tactile feel of mechanical keys that professional users love.
Regarding connectivity, it has a wide range of ports that makes life much easier for professional users. On the other side, the headphone port now has advanced compatibility for high impedance headphones and there are two more thunderrbolt 4 ports, for a total of three in the system.
MagSafe returns to the MacBook Pro, MagSafe 3 has a new design, supports more power in the system and can charge through the Thunderbolt ports.
Display support is better than ever. Up to two Pro Display XDRs can be connected with the M1 Pro. With the M1 Max, they can connect up to three Pro Display XDRs and a 4K television at the same time.
