Vegan palmeritas for snacks

2 teaspoons of salt
250 grams of wheat flour
120 milliliters of water
160 grams of margarine

Preparation of the vegan palmeritas
Before starting with the palmeritas as such, it is necessary to prepare the puff pastry.
Puff pastry step by step
With the help of a strainer, sift the flour and salt into a bowl with the salt.
Add the water little by little and help yourself with your hands to mix.
When you have obtained a uniform dough without lumps, it is time to cover and let it rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
At the end of the time, add flour to the flat surface where you are going to work and with a rolling pin, spread it to form a rectangle.
In the center of the dough, place the margarine and cover as if it were an envelope.
With the rolling pin, flatten again in all four directions so that the butter spreads well throughout the dough.
Keep stretching until you reach the thickness of at least 1 centimeter.
At this point fold all 4 edges and fold in half and then to the other half.
Now, we cover with transparent paper and take to the fridge for 1 hour to take texture.
At the end of the time, take it out of the fridge, remove the transparent paper, with the roller and spread it until it is 5 millimeters thick and fold again, cover with the plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for another hour.
This folding process must be repeated about 5 times before starting, so we must be patient.

Armed with the vegan palmeritas
With the vegan puff pastry ready, it's time to move on.
Take the dough out of the fridge and roll out until you get a rectangle about 5 millimeters thick.
Sprinkle sugar on the dough along with the cinnamon. Roll the rolling pin again so that the sugar grains stick to the dough. Although cinnamon is optional, it will give it a more pleasant flavor.
Then fold the edges of the shorter sides inward to determine the center of the dough.
Undo the doubles and mark again but with the long sides. This should result in a 4 part take away.
Now, fold 1/8 of the sheet on both sides following the guide. What you will get is a thin, but long roll of puff pastry that when looking at them in profile will have a heart shape.
With the roll assembled, cut slices of about 1 centimeter.
Then, place them on a tray with parchment paper, considering 5 centimeters of separation between them.
Bake for 15 minutes, so they are golden brown at about 150 °C.
Take it out of the oven and turn them over, take it back to the oven and consider another 10 minutes in the oven.
