Will Rosello resign in Puerto Rico?
In Puerto Rico, tensions are running high with the expected resignation of Governor Ricardo Rosello, however, the question is, will he really resign? According to local media in Puerto Rico, Ricardo Rosello could leave his position in the next few hours thanks to a scandal derived from a private chat.
Rosello is likely to be replaced by Secretary of Justice Wanda Vázquez. However, even if his resignation is carried out, the demonstrations on that island could not stop.
In recent days the police tried to stop the attacks by the protesters with a variety of things, for example; they have used tear gas. Before this, the protesters have responded with bottles and other things, although it should be noted that today the protesters are already calmer.
The messages that led to these protests are said to have used inappropriate language to refer to Puerto Rican politics and some figures who have openly expressed their sexuality.
On the other hand, it is worth mentioning that the person who was in charge of his staff has already submitted his resignation, which is expected to be effective as of this Wednesday, July 31.
On Tuesday, Governor Ricardo Rossello's office announced that it will consider what is best for the people.
